How do I create an Addon Domain in cPanel?

What is an Addon domain?

An addon domain allows you to host additional separate websites from within the one hosting service. The files for the additional domains will be hosted within the one service, but to normal web viewers they will appear as completely separate websites.

Note: “Addon Domains” are now managed through “Domains” in cPanel.

To create an addon domain follow these steps:

1. Login to cPanel.
2. Click the Domains icon (Under the Domains category).
3. Click the blue Create a New Domain button on the right-hand side of the page.
4. Untick the Share Document Root tickbox before proceeding.
5. Enter your domain name in the Domain text box. This will automatically fill out the Subdomain and Document Root. These options can be modified also.
6. Click Submit.

Once you have added your new Addon Domain(s) through cPanel, you should ensure you have pointed your domain name(s) to your Synergy Wholesale cPanel web hosting nameservers. Once the Addon Domain is setup and pointed to the hosting servers, it may take up to 24 hours to come online.
