About the advanced synchronisation functionality
Category: Domain Registrar module
WHMCS includes built-in functionality to ensure domain names in your WHMCS installation have correct expiration information, and provides functionality to monitor incoming transfers and update these records upon completion of the transfer. For more information on enabling this, please see http://docs.whmcs.com/Cron_Tasks#Domain_Sync_Cron.
v1.9.2 of the Synergy Wholesale WHMCS Domain Registrar module fully supports the WHMCS Domain Sync cron. The guide below will assist in determining the actions taken based on the data received from the Synergy Wholesale Management System.
Domain name is okay and active | Expiry date updated in WHMCS to match what is returned by the Synergy Wholesale Management System |
Domain does not exist or cannot be located in the reseller account | Status set to “Cancelled” on record and notes added to the admin notes field to advise that the domain name could not be located within the reseller account |
Domain name is transferring inbound | Status set to “Pending transfer” on record and will be re-checked with next cron-run (when transfer has finished the outcome of “Domain name is okay and active” will be actioned) |
Domain name has expired | Expiry date updated in WHMCS to match what is returned by the Synergy Wholesale Management System and status set to “Expired” in WHMCS. |
Domain name is deleted | Status set to “Cancelled” on record and notes added to the admin notes field to advise that the domain name has been deleted. |
