How can directory browsing be disabled on a web hosting service?

If you don’t want people being able to browse directories when there is no index page in place, you can easily disable directory browsing via cPanel.

1. Login to cPanel.
2. Click the Index Manager icon.
3. Select the directory that you wish to disable directory browsing on.
4. Select No Index.
5. Save the adjustment.

The directory browsing feature will now be disabled on the selected directory.
