If you received an auDA Complaint email about a domain being registered to a Trust
Email Subject: auDA Complaint (Ineligible Trust) for [Domain] – 14 Day Notice
If you have received an auDA complaint referring to an Ineligible Trust, auDA no longer allows Domain Names to be registered under a Trust ABN. Instead, the Trustee information must be listed as the Domain Name’s Registrant.
In accordance with the .au domain administration rules, domains registered under a Trust will need to be registered under the following layout:
A natural person as Trustee for a Trust:
Registrant: First Name and Last Name as Trustee for <Name of Trust>
Registrant ID: <Leave Blank>
Eligibility Type: Trust
Eligibility ID: ABN of the trust
Eligibility Name: <Name of the Trust>
A company as Trustee for a Trust:
Registrant: Company Name Pty Ltd as Trustee for <Name of Trust>
Registrant ID: ACN or ABN of the Company Name
Eligibility Type: Trust
Eligibility ID: ABN of the Trust
Eligibility Name: <Name of the Trust>
These types of complaints can be resolved by either providing us the Trust Deed or if you are not comfortable with sharing the entire Trust Deed, you can provide us just the Schedule Page, which should also list who the Trustee is. A Trustee could be a company, Sole Trader or a Natural Person.
If you have received an email notifying you that your domain has been suspended due to an auDA complaint, the best course of action is to respond directly to that email and request further assistance. Responding to the suspension email ensures your inquiry goes straight to the Synergy Wholesale Complaints Team.
If you cannot reply to the email, you are welcome to send a separate email to customercare@synergywholesale.com from any email address, as long as you mention the affected domain.
