What is ActiveSync and how do I enable it on a plan?

What is ActiveSync?
ActiveSync is a live synchronisation feature currently available on Dedicated Email Hosting products only, which allows you to receive email notifications at the exact moment your messages hit the server. This is often referred to as a ‘Push Notification’ on some devices and apps.
This feature is available on Android versions 8.0 and higher, as well as iPhone iOS versions 12 and higher.
Turning on ActiveSync
- Head over to the management console, and navigate to Email Hosting, and then the Purchase subheading.
- On this page, click the three dots (…) on an existing plan to Edit and add Activesync as part of the plan. Ensure you click the green Update Plan button to finalise your changes.
- Click Create New Email Hosting Plan to instead create a new, separate plan that includes ActiveSync.
That’s all you need to do! Your customers should now be able to enable Push notifications on their compatible device(s).
