[VPS Addons] Nagios Service Monitoring

What is Nagios Service Monitoring?

Nagios is a powerful monitoring system that enables organisations to identify and resolve IT infrastructure problems before they affect critical business processes. Our addon will monitor your Self Managed VPS and its services to ensure that you are alerted if there is an issue before your customers notice. Note: This is only available for Self-Managed VPS plans. Fully Managed VPS's are connected to our own corporate monitoring system, which our staff monitor round the clock.

What does Nagios monitor and how am I notified?

Nagios will monitor the following services by default:
  • HTTP/HTTPS
  • FTP
  • SSH
  • SMTP (Mail Sending)
  • IMAP (Mail Receiving)
  • POP3 (Mail Receiving)
  • MySQL Database Server
  • NTP Time
  • Load
  • Exim Mail Queue
  • Disk Usage
If any of these services go down or there is an issue, you will be notified via email to your Synergy Wholesale Accounts email address, if you would like to exclude any services from the checks (For example: Not running cPanel or Mail server) or would like to send the notifications to a specific email account, please contact our support team via a support request to arrange this.

Need Support?

If you have any additional questions or queries about this, we recommend submitting a support request through your Synergy Wholesale account, as our support team will be happy to answer any questions you may have.
