Four checks to help keep you safe from phishing attempts. Check the email came from an email address ending with @synergywholesale.com, for example - sales@synergywholesale.com.- Check that the URL is correct (this can often be done by hovering over the link without clicking it).

On 26/09/2023 we have decided to begin retiring our WHMCS Availability Checker functionality, read more below to see if this will affect you, and what actions you may need to take. When will this happen?

The Synergy Wholesale Management System now contains a full list of registered .au domain licenses currently registered using invalid registrant data. In order to hold a .au domain license, policy states that registrants of a .au domain name license must remain eligible to hold the license - 2019-01 - .au Domain Administration Rules: Licensing Policy, Section 2.14.  Whilst registrants may have been eligible to register their domain license at the time of registration; they risk not being able to renew their domain if their registrant details become invalid.

The Individual Registrant Privacy Option (IRPO) is available for individuals who are not in significant trade. Choosing to enable IRPO withholds the telephone number and contact address from display in a WHOIS search.

We are pleased to announce that today we have launched our brand spanking new Synergy Wholesale Service Status page online at http://status.synergywholesale.com. Our team monitors our network, servers and system 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and when an event has been lasting longer than 15 minutes it will be listed on the Service Status page.

We have recently become aware of a phishing scam currently targeting many domain name registrants which fraudulently advises them that their domain name registration has been ‘suspended’. In an attempt to bait users to click and subsequently download a malware file, the fraudulent email claims that the domain name has been suspended by Synergy Wholesale because the registrant has failed to respond to previous email and telephone notices to "...address the complaints".

We are pleased to announce that our latest WHMCS modules now include full support for WHMCS v6. This includes our Domains module, SSL Certificate module and our Hosting Services module.

We will be completing important maintenance on the Synergy Wholesale domain system on Tuesday, 19 May 2015 from 11:00PM until 11:59PM (AEST). During the above mentioned maintenance window access to the both Synergy Wholesale frontend and API will be restricted.

There has been a small change to our Reseller Agreement to include additional terms set-forth by Rightside Registry. Please ensure your Registrant Agreements are also updated to include the terms set out in clause 12 (Stipulated Rightside Registry Policy) and ensure all your clients are aware of these terms & conditions.

There is important database maintenance that is scheduled to be completed on Sunday, 29 March 2015 from 12:00am through to 2:00am. During the maintenance window above, there will be no access to the Synergy Wholesale Management System, the Synergy Wholesale API, all WHMCS modules or any of your domain name records that are stored with Synergy Wholesale.

There have recently been a few announcements regarding the Certification Authority and Browser industries replacing the SHA-1 hashing algorithm with the more secure SHA-2. Each major industry player (namely Microsoft, Google and Mozilla) have all announced their own various plans to stop supporting SHA-1 SSL certificates after January 1, 2017 - some have taken a slower approach  some taking rather prompt action We're pleased to announce that all new SSL Certificates issued through Trustwave will now utilise the SHA-2 (also known as SHA-256) hashing algorithm.

On July 1, 2014, the registry price for all .au domain names will be changing. It is a significant change that will affect all .au domain names as prices will be going up across the board, more significantly for .id.au, .org.au and .asn.au, as the price will become standardised across every 2LD.

As part of the ICANN 2013 RAA, Synergy Wholesale is required to verify the Registrant contact in the following instances; after a domain name registration, at the time of a domain name transfer and, at the time of an update to the Registrant contact This is designed to lead to a higher accuracy level of WHOIS data and will be done by an automatic process that sends the Registrant contact a verification email (similar to a transfer confirmation email) that needs to be 'clicked' within a specific time period, or the domain will be placed in a ClientHold status (and any DNS resolution will be suspended). We will be enabling this functionality on Friday, 30 May 2014 for ALL new registrations, transfers and contact updates.

We're pleased to announce that Synergy Wholesale resellers now have access to .io domain names to resell to their customers. The extension .io is the ccTLD for the British Indian Ocean Territory and there are no special requirements or restrictions on registering a .io domain name.
