What we need
For us to complete a migration of email data over to our platform, we'll need the following from you:- The IP Address or Hostname of the email server that you are migrating away from.
- The usernames and passwords for each of the accounts you want to migrate.
- We must be able to connect to the old email service via IMAP
- If you want emails moved from Gmail or Google Workspace, you must ensure that you have:
Submitting the request
To submit the email migration, follow these steps:- Log in to your Synergy Wholesale Account.
- Click on 'Support Centre' → 'New Migration'
- Click 'Email Migration'.

- From there, you will be able to select the service(s) you would like to migrate to.

- Click 'Confirm' after you have made your selection.

- Next, fill out the requested details in the migration form for each mailbox you're migrating. This will include:
- Source Server: The IMAP server hostname or IP address of the current host.
- New Server: The IMAP server hostname or IP of the new server, this should be automatically prefilled for you.
- Source Email Address: The email account you are migrating from.
- Source Password: The current email account password on the current host.
- Destination Current Password: The current email account password on the destination account.
- You can add any additional information to our team within the 'migration notes' section. Tick the acknowledgements and whether you would like our team to update your domain's DNS to the new mailbox after the migration.
- After everything is filled out, click 'Submit Migration Request'.

Viewing & tracking the migration
Once the migration is submitted, you can view its status by navigating to 'Support Centre' → 'Manage Migrations' → 'Email' and finding the domain from the list there. On the right-hand side of the domain, you'll be able to see its current status and clicking on the dropdown arrow on the right allows you to view the booking details.
Once the migration is complete, or if theres any extra information or our team require, we will let you know in the newly created Support Request.
