Web hosting price increase from 1 January 2024
On 1/11/2023, A notification was sent to all resellers with active hosting services, advising of an upcoming price increase. A $0.50 inc. GST monthly levy will be applied to all web hosting services from 1/1/2024. Read more below for details on the price rise and who it impacts.
Why the increase?
The cost of Synergy Wholesale web hosting services has remained stable since October 2021, despite the costs of operating, maintaining and supporting those services skyrocketing, with everything from software licences to staffing all rising significantly. We’ve also continued to invest millions of dollars in our infrastructure platform with new routers, switches, and security appliances.
How much is the increase?
The increase is a flat $0.50 inc GST increase per active web hosting service.
This will allow us to continue providing 100% Australian service and support, excellent uptime and stability, and new features and innovations that will be rolled out to the Synergy Wholesale platform in 2024.
When will this happen?
The increase will take effect from the 1st of January 2024.
Who will this affect?
Resellers with active web hosting installations will see an increase in their web hosting costs from the 1st of January 2024. This will also impact future purchases and services set to renew after 1/1/2024.
Which services aren’t affected?
Domains, SSL certificates, infrastructure and email hosting are not impacted by this price increase.
What does this mean for me?
If you have active web hosting services you may wish to adjust your own pricing to reflect the increase.
