Renewing a .au priority application
.AU Priority Applications made during the Priority Allocation Period are valid until 20 September 2023.
If you wish to stay in contention to obtain the .AU direct domain name, you must renew your application from within the Synergy Wholesale Management System or through the API. You will not be able to process a renewal through WHMCS modules due to limitations with WHMCS.
If you are renewing an application within the Synergy Wholesale Management System, you can do this by navigating to the domain name and renewing it similarly to a domain name renewal:
If you use the API to renew the application, you must provide the AssocationID in the renewalDomain endpoint to ensure it will renew successfully.
Renewing your application does not guarantee that you will be allocated the .AU direct domain name, only when one party remains active in the application process will a domain name be allocated.
If the applicant does not renew their priority application by 20 September (UTC), the application will be withdrawn from the priority process. The applicant will no longer be in contention to register the .au direct domain name. When there is only one active application, the .au direct domain name will be allocated to the remaining applicant.
Allocations for .AU direct domain names with only one remaining applicant will not occur until at least 30 days after the 20th of September, 2023.
Synergy Wholesale will send application renewal notices to registrants 60 days before expiry.
You can check the application status through the auDA Priority Status tool.
