Tasks handled by our modules and what you still need to do via Synergy Wholesale
Below you can find a list of tasks you will be able to complete from WHMCS once you install our modules.
There may be items not listed here, we’ll try and update here ASAP when releases or updates happen.
Domain Names:
With the module installed you will be able to do the following from WHMCS:
- Register domain names
- Includes full support for premium domain names
- Renew domain names
- Apply or remove transfer lock on applicable domains
- Manage DNS settings (Nameservers, FreeDNS, Web/Email forwarding)
- Update contact details
- Apply or remove ID protection on applicable domains
- Child nameserver management
- Retrieve EPP Code/Domain Password
- Initiate a Change of Registrant
You will still need to visit the Synergy Wholesale Management System to:
- Delete a domain name
- Apply or remove “Auto Renew” on a domain
- Review a Change of Registrant status
- Review Transaction information regarding a domain
SSL Certificates:
With the module installed you will be able to do the following from WHMCS:
- Purchase SSL Certificates
- Re-issue SSL Certificates
You will still need to visit the Synergy Wholesale Management System to:
- Resend validation emails
- View email logs to see where/when validations were delivered to
Web Hosting:
With the module installed you will be able to do the following from WHMCS:
- Purchase new hosting services
- Suspend a hosting service
- Log directly into cPanel of a particular service from admin area
- Apply or remove a Temporary URL to view the service
- Check firewall for a block on our server from visitor IP address
- Retrieve your Synergy Wholesale monthly recurring cost
You will still need to visit the Synergy Wholesale Management System to:
- Create hosting packages to assign when purchasing new hosting services
- Submit upgrade requests to change from a legacy package to a new custom one
- Cancel hosting services
- Install SSL Certificates
- Enable SSH access
Email Hosting:
With the module installed you will be able to do the following from WHMCS:
- Purchase new email hosting services
- Suspend an email hosting service
- Cancel email services
- Log directly into your customer’s email account
- Change the password for an email hosting service
You will still need to visit the Synergy Wholesale Management System to:
- Create email packages to assign when purchasing new email services
- Toggle ActiveSync functionality
- Add aliases for an email account
Note: Email hosting functionality is available via the existing Hosting module, please refer to our article on Creating email hosting products within WHMCS for more information on setting up our email hosting services within your WHMCS installation.
Account Balance:
With the module installed you will be able to do the following from WHMCS:
- View the account balance of your Wholesale account via a WHMCS widget.
You will still need to visit the Synergy Wholesale Management System to:
- Top up your account
- Apply or remove “Auto top-up” or change the amount it’s configured to do
- Review transaction information for your wholesale account
Availability Checker (WHOIS)
Provides a check embedded on your WHMCS site that searches via Synergy Wholesale to ensure a domain is available to be registered.
