If you received an auDA Complaint email about an email about an invalid .org.au or .asn.au domain

Email Subject 1: auDA Complaint (Ineligible for .org.au) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice Email Subject 2: auDA Complaint (Ineligible for .asn.au) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice Domain Names in the .org.au & .asn.au namespaces are reserved for entities that fall under auDA's definition of a not-for-profit entity. These complaints often occur if the Domain Name is registered to a profitable entity (e.g., a private company) or the not-for-profit information is missing from the Domain Name's Registrant information. To resolve these complaints, you will want to provide auDA with the name of your not-for-profit entity alongside an Eligibility Number. Some common examples of an Eligibility Number include: It is also recommended that you provide a copy of the relevant ABN registration certificate, Incorporation certificate or ACNC registration certificate. There is one difference between the two types of domains:
  1. .asn.au Domain Names can be held by Unincorporated Entities.
  2. .org.au Domain Names cannot be held by Unincorporated Entities unless that entity is a registered charity on the ACNC.
If you have received an email notifying you that your domain has been suspended due to an auDA complaint, the best course of action is to respond directly to that email and request further assistance. Responding to the suspension email ensures your inquiry goes straight to the Synergy Wholesale Complaints Team. If you cannot reply to the email, you are welcome to send a separate email to customercare@synergywholesale.com from any email address, as long as you mention the affected domain.
