How to transfer a single domain name into your Synergy Wholesale account

If you want to transfer multiple domain names at once, please follow our guide on how to do that.

Before proceeding, please make sure you have done the following:

Obtained the EPP Code (domain password) for the domain name from the existing domain registrar
The domain name has been unlocked (if it’s locked)
The registrant contact email address assigned to the domain name is correct, and emails can be received to it
The domain name is not within the 60 day cooling off period that is in place after the domain is registered

Transferring a single domain name is very easy, here are the steps:

Login to your Synergy Wholesale account
Navigate to Domain Names > New Transfer
Input the domain name you want to transfer
Click Check for Transfer
If the domain name can be transferred, you will be prompted for the Domain Password (EPP Code)
Click Check for Transfer
You will be prompted for the Registrant’s Contact Information.
1. You can use the Obtain Existing Contact option to use the details from another domain
2. Or, you can manually input the information
Make changes to the Name Servers, Categories and Additional Options where applicable.
Click Process Transfer

Once you have submitted the transfer, under normal circumstances an approval email will be sent to the Registrant Contact Email Address associated with the domain name. The email will contain a link that the registrant must click, to allow the domain name transfer to proceed.

For the time being, these are only sent for .AU domain name transfers. The reason behind this, is that the EU’s new GDPR laws make it impossible to determine the Registrant Contact for a domain name, therefore the email cannot be sent.
