Articles in auDA Complaints
What is an auDA Complaint? The .au Domain Administration Limited (auDA) is the policy body that manages and enforces the rules for all domains in the .au namespace.
Email Subject: auDA Complaint (Cancelled ABN) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice This is the most common auDA complaint as you are not able to hold a .au domain name with a cancelled ABN. These cases generally arise if you move to a new ABN but do not update the Domain Name as well.
Email Subject: auDA Complaint (Cancelled ACN) for [Domain] - 30 Day Notice Similar to a cancelled ABN, you cannot hold a .au Domain Name with a cancelled or deregistered ACN. These are slightly different from the Cancelled ABN cases, as: You cannot reactivate a cancelled ACN; The domain cannot be renewed or updated while the auDA complaint is active, and; You must provide documentation that is dated before the ACN on the domain was deregistered.
Email Subject: auDA Complaint (Ineligible Trust) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice If you have received an auDA complaint referring to an Ineligible Trust, auDA no longer allows Domain Names to be registered under a Trust ABN. Instead, the Trustee information must be listed as the Domain Name's Registrant.
auDA may audit your domain if it has Ineligible Details. This means that auDA cannot confirm if you meet allocation criteria based on the Registrant information on your Domain Name.
Email Subject 1: auDA Complaint (Ineligible for .org.au) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice Email Subject 2: auDA Complaint (Ineligible for .asn.au) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice Domain Names in the .org.au & .asn.au namespaces are reserved for entities that fall under auDA's definition of a not-for-profit entity. These complaints often occur if the Domain Name is registered to a profitable entity (e.g., a private company) or the not-for-profit information is missing from the Domain Name's Registrant information.
Email Subject 1: auDA Complaint (Warranty Check) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice Email Subject 2: auDA Complaint (.id.au Warranty Check) for [Domain] - 14 Day Notice When auDA performs a Warranty Check, it means that they cannot determine how a Domain Name meets their allocation rules. When performing these checks, auDA compares the Registrant information to the domain name itself.
