With guidance from auDA, we’re making changes to improve the eligibility validation process, aiming to reduce eligibility complaints and the subsequent potential loss of invalid .au domains. All .au domain renewals and inbound transfers will undergo a validation check.
Why do I need to perform a correction to my Domain registered under a Trust? auDA changed its policy in 2021 to no longer allow the trust entity to register Domain Names, requiring that they be registered to the trust's Trustee rather than directly to the Trust.
Why do I need to perform a correction to my Domain registered to a Partnership? auDA changed its policy in 2021 to require a Partnership ABN to nominate one of the partners as the sole Registrant on a Domain name.
(Please note that a Change of Registrant comes at a cost to the value of how many years you wish to hold the registration for. Changing the registrant will reset the domain’s license period.
