Transferring a .uk domain name to us is a little different, due to the way .uk transfers work. Here are the steps.
Registration New .au domain names can be registered for a minimum of 1 year to a maximum of 5 years. A domain's initial registration period cannot exceed 5 years (1,825 days).
When you register a domain name and have nameservers where the domain name/extension of that nameserver are operated by the same registry, the registry will attempt to validate the hosts internally. If they don't exist, you get the error "Registry reports - Object does not exist".
When transferring a domain from another provider/registrar there is generally a wait time until it completes. Throughout a transfer your domain/website will remain online, however, during the process you won't be able to make any adjustments to your nameservers or whois contacts.
The following graphic shows the life cycle of a typical domain registration extension (gTLD) through its active state and expiration process: What about .au domains? Similarly to the above graph, .au domains enter an expired state where a renewal can be processed to bring the name back to life.
In most cases domain name registrations are completed instantly; this relies on the supply of correct information at the time of registration and that your account be in a positive balance to cover the registration fees. Domain registrations may be held up for the following reasons: If the registration type is .id.au, .asn.au or .org.au they require manual review.
When a gTLD such as a .com, .net or .org has been expired for some time, typically 40 days, it will be deleted at the registry. This places the domain into a status of "Redemption" where it can only be renewed with the registrar in which it expired with, this status lasts for another 30 days.
When a domain slips into a clientHold status on the domain whois, this means it has expired and has been placed into a hold state. During this time, you have approximately 40 days from the domain names expiry date to renew the domain without paying an additional RGP fee: Once the domain name has been renewed, the clientHold status will be removed and it will begin to resolve once again.
Domain names may be renewed through the Synergy Wholesale System interface: Login to your Synergy Wholesale System account. Using the menu go to Domain Names and click Manage.
If auto renew is enabled on a domain within 14 days of it's expiry, it will not process before the expiry date. In this case you will need to manually renew the domain.
To disable auto-renew on a domain which currently has it enabled: Log in to your Synergy Wholesale System account. Using the menu go to Domain Names, click Manage and locate the domain name or alternatively use our intelligent search located on the top left-hand side of your account to search for the domain you wish to enable auto-renewal on.
Domain name auto renewal allows you to setup your registrations to renew automatically without manually actioning it. Domain expiry notices will be dispatched to the registrant contact as per usual intervals (starting from 90 days to expiry).
Enabling auto-renew on a domain name is easily completed through the Synergy Wholesale System: Log in to your Synergy Wholesale System account. Using the menu go to Domain Names, click Manage and locate the domain name or alternatively use our intelligent search located on the top left-hand side of your account to search for the domain you wish to enable auto-renewal on.
