Enabling Premium Domain Lookups

Premium domains are reported as unavailable by default. There are two settings inside the Synergy Wholesale Management System to enable premium domain lookups. One for the API, and the other for WHMCS Availability Checker.
You can find the first setting for the API on the API Information page under “API Configuration”.
When enabled, it ensures that any call to “checkDomain”, or “bulkCheckDomain” will return availability and pricing for premium domain names.
The setting for the WHMCS Availability checker can be found at the bottom of the API Information page.
There are a couple of important things to note about this setting;
- The output for premium domains is exactly the same as standard domains, WHMCS has a different system of checking premium domains which you can read about here.
- The IP Address whitelist is used to determine whether to use this setting. However, in the unlikely circumstance two partners have the same IP Address whitelisted and only one has premium domains enabled; premium names will be reported as “Available” for everyone.
